On Boxing Day 2024, a fire completely destroyed our beloved Great Spotted Woodpecker. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the damage is huge and the treehouse is beyond repair.
Although the Great Spotted Woodpecker is no longer bookable, it remains a special place in our hearts. As a tribute, we still leave it on our website, as a reminder of all the wonderful moments that were lived there.
We also took an important decision and replaced the wood stoves in all our treehouses with electric cast-iron stoves. Just as atmospheric and warm, but without the risk.
